A woman lives in a small village in Russia. One day, a parcel she sent to her husband, who is serving a sentence in prison, came back to her unopened.
Synopsis
The Gentle (Vasilina Makovtseva) lives on the outskirts of a Russian village. She doesn't understand why one day a package is returned to her, which she had actually sent to her imprisoned husband. So she sets out on a journey to a remote region of the country to ask for an explanation on the spot, in the prison. But the state penitentiary is a forbidding fortress that counters her request with threats of violence, corruption and humiliation. Nevertheless, the gentle woman persists in her quest for justice.
