Synopsis
It is 1988, and Melo, a small Uruguayan town on the Brazilian border that survives mainly on smuggling, is feverishly awaiting the visit of Pope John Paul II. The media announces hundreds of visitors, thousands of pilgrims looking for food, drinks, flags, souvenirs, commemorative medals...
Beto, our hero, thinks he has found the best source of income, a public toilet where pilgrims can come and relieve themselves. But before he can build his toilets, and despite the hostility of his family, Beto will have to make more and more risky trips to the border on his old bike to smuggle contraband...
