Waterschout is attached to a municipal museum that is organizing an exhibition devoted to Flemish religious art of the fifteenth century. The painting "The Madonna of Lower Munster" is to be added to the exhibition.
Synopsis
Waterschout goes to pick up this canvas, but has never been to Nedermunster. He meets the dean in whose church the painting hangs. In the evening he stays at an inn and meets a woman there.
